Market St in the 1830s
These drawings depict Market St as it looked between 1836 and 1841. They were drawn in 1901 by Dr. J. S. Raymond from his memory of growing up in Potsdam. Of the buildings depicted, only three remain. A. J. Hopkins Harness Shop at 1 Market, the Zenas Clarke General Store at 17 Market St, and the Sewall Raymond General Store at 30 Market St.
